S. Goodchild, of Cambridge; Norton, Ferrex and Porrex, 1570, the property of Mrs. Kay, of Edinburgh; and a very fine copy (one of five perfect copies known) of Shakespeare’s Richard III, 1608, the property of W. G. Damper; modern books include Shelley’s Address to the Irish people, from the library of Denis Florence MacCarthy, author of “Shelley’s early life”; Kipling, Schoolboy lyrics, 1881; and a choice collection of English sporting and other books with coloured plates, the property of a Lady, the autograph letters, etc. include verses by Lord Byron, Jane Austen and Percy Bysshe Shelley; the autograph draft of Burke’s “Character of Sir Joshua Reynolds”; and fine letters by General James Wolfe, L. Van Beethoven, W. A. Mozart, Thomas Carlyle, Thomas De Quincey, Sir Isaac Newton, John Wesley and Daniel Defoe, the property of Sir Kenneth Murchison; and of other owners, which will be sold by auction by Messrs.
