Crofts, of Tientsin, North China, (sold by order of his London Executor), comprising a fine series of early figures, funerary urns, granary jars and vases with green iridescent glaze, and a rare pottery tower, of the Han dynasty; a rare bridal carriage, of the Sui dynasty; a very fine and large collection of tomb figures, camels and horses with brilliant glazes, also unglazed figures of beautiful modelling, a complete tomb set in three colour glazes, a pair of superb figures of large horses, and a fine model of a tomb, of the T'ang dynasty; a series of fine Temmoku and Tzuchow ware vases and basins; early Celadons and two very fine Pei Ting bowls and small figures of porcellanous stoneware; fine early metal cast heads and important sculptures, of the T'ang, Sung, Yuan and Ming dynasties; also a collection of ivory masks and oriental objects of art, the property of the late General Sir J.
