Catalogue of the valuable and interesting collection of foreign naval medals formed by Admiral the Marquess of Milford Haven (formerly Prince Louis of Battenburg), E.R.N.S., among other interesting Medals may be mentioned a very fine series of Dutch Medals relating to the struggle for the Supremacy of the Sea (lots 33-61), including the rare Portrait-Medals of Peter Heyn (lots 36-38), Martin Tromp (lots 45-49), Michael de Ruyter (lots 55-57), Cornelius Evertsen (lot 58), and Cornelius Tromp (lot 59) ; The Battle of Lepanto (lots 66-67, 78-80, 89) ; Greek and Roman Coins commemorating famous Naval Battles (lots 72-77) ; Gold Medals of Peter the Great (lots 96 and 98) ; Medals relating to the Submarine Campaign in the Great War, 1914-18 (lots 116-122) ; And a very rare Silver Medal commemorating the British Attack on Buenos Ayres in 1806 (lot 123).
