- Frederick Hockliffe (1833-1914) fut éditeur et libraire à Bedford ; Il fonda sa société dans les années 1870 ; Il posséda une très importante collection de livres pour enfants dont son fils fit don à l'université du Bedforshire en 1927
- Thomas Way (1837-1915) fut peinture, imprimeur et lithographe ; Son fils, Thomas Robert Way (1861-1913), et lui promurent le renouveau de la lithographie en Angleterre ; Ils collaborèrent notamment avec James McNeill Whistler
- D'après le catalogue de la National Art Library du Victoria & Albert Museum, le collectionneur est Thomas Robert Way ; Cependant, il est décédé en 1913, deux ans avant son père, et la page de titre ne porte pas la mention late ou deceased
