The late Sir Edward Coates collections. Catalogue of the second portion of the famous Gardner collection of engravings, drawings, broadsides, &c., illustrating the topographical, architectural and social history of London and its environs from the earliest to the present times, formed by the late John Edmund Gardner, Esq., at whose death it was inherited by his son, from whom it was purchased, en bloc, in the year 1910, by the late Major Sir Edward Coates, Bt., M.P. (sold by order of his Executors), which will be sold by auction by Messrs. Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge (Sir Montague Barlow, K.B.E., LL.D., M.P., G. D. Hobson, M.A. & Major F. W. Warre, O.B.E., M.C.), auctioneers of literary property & works illustrative of the fine arts, at their large galleries, 34 & 35, New Bond Street, W. (1), on Monday, 12th of November, 1923, and four following days, at one o'clock precisely
