- Persécuté car juif, sa demeure fut saisie en 1933 et une partie de ses collections en 1938 par la Gestapo ; Pringsheim fut contraint de vendre sa collection de majoliques en 1939 et l'argent de la vente revint au régime
- Selon la base du British Museum, la collection de majoliques est dispersée dans plusieurs institutions, principalement au Metropolitan Museum of Art, au musée des Tissus et des Arts décoratifs de Lyon et au Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge
