Robert Boyle, Sir Thomas Browne (including A letter to a friend, 1690), Samuel Butler, Daniel Defoe (including Robinson Crusoe, 1619), Henry Fielding (including Joseph Andrews, 1742 and Tom Jones, 1749), Oliver Goldsmith (including The vicar of Wakefield, Salisbury, 1766), Thomas Hobbes, Samuel Johnson (including Proposals for printing, 1742, and his wife's copy of The Rambler, 1752) […] which will be sold by auction by Messrs. Sotheby & Co. G. D. Hobson, M.V.O., F. W. Warre, O.B.E., M.C., C. G. des Graz, C. V. Pilkington, P. Wilson, auctioneers of literary property & works illustrative of the fine arts, at their large galleries, 34 & 35, New Bond Street, W.(1) on Monday, the 27th of March, 1939, and two following days at one o'clock precisely each day
