Catalogue of the extensive and interesting antiquarian & ethnographical collections, the property of the late Walter L. Behrens, esq. of the Acorns, Fallowfield, Manchester (sold by order of the executors), comprising Egyptian, Greek & Roman antiquities in stone, bronze, terra-cotta, glass, etc. including a rare Egyptian magic staff, stone sculptors’ models and curious polytheistic deities, a Babylonian figure of the god Babyl-Dungi, etc., European carvings in ivory and wood, Persian metal work and miniatures, Indian gods and ivory carvings, Chinese works of art, including a pair of ancient iron vases, articles of European domestic use, a seventeeth century châtelaine watch, wax busts, and a large assortment of eastern and savage weapons, and European halberds, swords and fire-arms which will be sold by auction by Messrs. Sotheby, Wilkinson & Hodge, auctioneers of literary property & works illustrative of the fine arts, at their house, No. 13, Wellington Street, Strand, W.C. on Tuesday, the 3rd of March 1914 and following day, at one o’clock precisely
